  <title>Regional Conference</title>
  <link>http://www.usfthetatau.org/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=17</link>
<description>As the host for the South-East Regional Conference on February 12th 2011, Upsilon Gamma is extremely happy for all of the brothers attendance. There were around 170 brothers from different Chapters from our region. We are aware that it was a long trip for most of the Bothers present and we really appreciate the effort they have made to be there. There was a great amount of positive feedback and most of them remarks that it was totally worth the travel. Tau Beta Pi Future Sessions, Phired Up and different Workshops were the different section on this Conference.

Great appreciation on the great work for all the brothers that put in time to make this regional the best it could be and a special thanks to Zack Johnson, our Regional Conference chair for this semester for all his hard work. And we are extremely thankful to Theta Tau Central Office for sponsoring a special recruitment workshop provided by Phired Up.

  <title>Leadership Academy</title>
  <link>http://www.usfthetatau.org/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=14</link>
<description>Leadership Academy is coming up. It would be in Chicago at the University Conference Center Chicago. If you haven&#039;t made plans yet or you haven&#039;t even thought about it yet, this is a good time to start. There is a good deal if you register before June 1st. The cost for early registration is $175 and it includes three nights lodging, all meals during the meeting, meeting registration and more. Plus if we start planning now, we could find better deals for flight tickets as well. I&#039;m sure it would be an awesome experience to attend all the section they have planned and to meet brothers from all around the country.

For registering you would have to go to www.thetatau.org and sign in into your account.

  <title>Holiday Season</title>
  <link>http://www.usfthetatau.org/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=13</link>
  <description>Hello everyone!

We are coming to the end of the 09 year. After a week of rigorous finals, we had our first annual end of the year formal last Friday. It was a fantastic event for everyone that had attended. Along with a catered dinner, we had awards given out to our alumnus and brothers, including the Johnson award to our very own Zachary Johnson and after the awards, everyone mingled out and had a good time. We all can’t wait for the next annual end of the year formal.

The New Year will be arriving on us very soon and a new semester will start. Be safe and I hope everyone has a merry christmakwanzakah and a happy new year.

  <title>Updates!</title>
  <link>http://www.usfthetatau.org/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=11</link>
  <description>Hello all!

The past couple weeks have been an exciting time for the chapter! Last weekend we have our semi-annual camping trip to the Ocala National Forest. It was a great time for all who showed up. We stayed for two nights and had a nice campfire to gather around, tell stories and of coarse make some delicious smores! There were games, volleyball, swimming, and kayaking in the lake. All of our pledges and brothers enjoyed themselves very much and we can’t wait to go back in the spring!

This past Wednesday, the professional development committee organized a plant tour a CF Industries, a phosphate fertilizer plant. The tour included a vehicle transportation tour around the plant. Everyone involved in the tour enjoyed themselves very much and the engineers at CF Industries are interested in helping us out with any other event that they might be able to participate.

Coming up next week, Wednesday October 14th from 11am-1pm we will be helping to host the Networking BBQ out side the engineering buildings on the USF Tampa campus. There will be free food, and student organizations and local engineering companies will be showcased to promote networking amongst the students. We are looking forward to this event and will update you with more details with the next posting. Take care!
